About the Course
Human Resources is often asked to be a strategic partner in delivering the organization’s mission. It is tasked with securing talent, building the organization’s workforce, and enabling performance. The challenge has been not just how to accomplish all of these but how to do it in a simple, integrated way.
In the span of five days, our workshop participants will learn the fundamentals of how to link the four most critical areas of Human Resources, namely: Job Design and Job Evaluation, Compensation Management and Compensation Design, Skills Measurement, and Performance Management.

While the workshop covers a broad range of foundational principles and concepts, it has been designed to include a number of practical exercises that will allow participants to quickly apply their learnings. Diagnostic activities will help participants examine their own organizations based on the practices raised for each module of the workshop.
Lastly, a case study of a fictional international NGO country office has been developed based on Birches Group’s extensive work in this sector. This organization, WeHelp, will serve as a common reference for the different practical exercises.
The workshop is built on Birches Group’s integrated Human Resource platform – Community™. The Community™ application will be used across our job evaluation, skills assessment, and performance evaluation exercises.
